Heavy energies part II. – with Journal prompts.
As mentioned in last week’s blog post, the celestial energies right now weigh down on us:
The cycle of Jupiter Saturn
The current Jupiter Saturn cycle started in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. We have been experiencing a unique dynamic of restriction and freedom ever since, and it is likely that this will remain the main theme for a very long time. When Jupiter and Saturn form a square aspect in the sky, it signifies a challenging and dynamic time to come.
This transit can create inner tension, you may face criticism or encounter limiting circumstances.
Structures or long-held beliefs may be challenged or completely demolished, you may also experience an uncomfortable pull within, there is the urge to grow and the need to set- or face limitations at the same time. Your optimism may be tested as you navigate the energies of expansion and restriction.
This square shouldn’t be viewed as a punishment, it means to push us to mature, take responsibility, and work diligently towards our goals.
About the two energies in general:
Jupiter, known as the planet of abundance and luck, exudes an energy of expansion and generosity. It symbolizes growth, optimism, and opportunity. However, Jupiter’s energy can sometimes tip towards the negative side, leading to arrogance and overconfidence. It’s essential for us to balance optimism with a dose of realism to avoid pitfalls associated with excessive pride. In stark contrast to Jupiter, Saturn represents discipline, responsibility, limitations, the energy is grounded, practical, and focused on hard work.
While Saturn’s influence can provide a solid foundation for success, it also has a chilly and restrictive side. Saturn’s energy can sometimes crush our confidence and instill feelings of self-doubt and inadequacy. The next square between these two planets will occur on August 19 th , this day is special since we also experience the Aquarius Full Moon.
We will be asked to face ourselves with honesty. When we need to confront ourselves about our true resources, skill levels, and alignment with our perceptions, we may need to engage in a process of self-assessment and introspection.
Journal Prompts:
- What motivates me to exhaust my energy for others? Is it a need for validation, fear of rejection, or genuine care?
- How do I feel after helping others? Do I feel fulfilled or drained?
- What are the consequences of not setting boundaries in my personal and professional life?
- Are my expectations of myself realistic and achievable, or do I set unattainable standards?
- How do I react when I don’t meet my own expectations?
- In what ways can I integrate more self-compassion and self-care into my life to prevent burnout?
- How comfortable am I with asking for help and accepting support from others?
- How does my level of self-confidence influence my willingness to pursue my goals and dreams?
- Are my goals and aspirations aligned with my values, passions, and long-term vision for success?
Keeping the meaning and significance of your goals at the forefront of your mind can help you push through challenges and setbacks, and this upcoming cycle will test us on that matter.
The light at the end of August’s tunnel:
Sun conjunct the Fixed Star Regulus at 29°:
Regulus is known as the Heart of the Lion and is considered a star of royalty, success, wealth, leadership, courage, ambition, and resilience. In a high vibrational sense, it can manifest as influence over friends, leadership, honor, and riches. On the low vibrational side, the themes are about hunger for power, violence, trouble, disgrace, and ruin. This is the time to step into our power.
Mercury direct and Venus in Libra August 28-29:
Mercury will turn direct at 21° in Leo. The general communication patterns will shift fro being aggressive, close-minded, and self-centered to a more open, playful, and compassionate style. Venus progressing into its own sign on the 29th will further soften these energies.
This progression will feel like a breath of fresh air for all of us!
