In between the March Eclipses
We are right in the middle of eclipse season, and the energies feel… intense, to say the least. This year’s eclipses, the Full and New Moons, are hitting my birth chart in exact, (and kind of sensitive) spots.
Shadow work, psychological transformations, and reinventing myself over and over again, is nothing new to me, but I gotta admit… the past few days have been a lot.
Right after the Full Moon, I found out that my dear stepdad, the man who raised me, passed away. I have my own perspective on death, so I tend to process news like this differently than others would expect, still, him passing away so suddenly, took me by surprise, and that made an old pattern resurface.
This loss has inspired me to dig even deeper and to not just work through the ongoing cycles in my life but also understand the past-life patterns that might still be playing out. These transits are making sure I do the work…
If you’re feeling the preassure too, or just want to make the most of these powerful eclipse energies… here are some things that have been helping me:
1. Meditate.
I know you’ve heard this one before, but hear me out. Meditation doesn’t mean sitting still… u can dance you can draw, or in fact… just sit still. This is a process to ground yourself, to check in with your emotions, and allow new perspectives to emerge.
The Eclipse happens on the Pisces-Virgo axis. Both signs are big on Health and general Well-being. So sit with your emotions, and work through them now.
If you want real change in your external world, you have to start from within.
2. Start your mornings with journaling / end your day with grattitude
I have a morning journaling practice that helps me clear my mind and focus on what I actually want to create each day. (You can find the journal I currently use in my shop if you want to try it yourself!) I focus on how i feel after i wake up, and how i want to feel during the day. I noticed that my mind, despite being very ADHD, can keep things in focus for me if i journal right after i wake up! This morning-evening journaling structure helps immensely when i have to do my shadow work or i just want to journal for clarity. Its much easier to keep my mind on the topic, when the mundance things are already out of the way.
3. Question of the day
I also do this in during my morning journaling sessions. The question i ask depends on my mood and mindset, if it needs to shift, i ask something like:
- How could things get even better today?
- How can I let more joy into my day?
- What if today is the day everything shifts for the better?
If i feel good about the day i ask questions like:
- What energy do I want to embody today?
- In what ways can the universe surprise me?
- What would make today even more magical?
These questions train my subconscious to be on the lookout for opportunities, and unexpected blessings throughout the day.
I believe there are no “bad” transits. Challenging? Sure. But at the end of the day, it’s up to us how we engage with these energies. Eclipses are powerful portals for transformation… they shake things up, clear out what’s no longer serving us, and push us toward our next chapter. It’s rarely comfortable, but that’s kind of the point.
Whether you’re deep in your feelings, working through old cycles, or just trying to stay grounded amidst the chaos, remember: you’re not alone in this. Use these energies to turn inward, gain clarity, and align yourself with what’s truly meant for you.
And if all else fails? Take a nap. Eclipse season is exhausting.
