Heavy energies of August 2024

Both July and August feel a bit heavy on us. One of the reasons for this is the Jupiter Saturn square that is currently forming in the sky.

The clash between Saturn’s expectation of self-discipline and seriousness, and Jupiter’s urging energies for creativity and adventure, can create an inner tension within us. Finding ways to balance these conflicting energies involves maintaining a diligent work ethic while seeking practical outlets to express creativity and faith effectively.

Another theme could be about upholding personal values and beliefs amid criticism and controversy, as it can lead to numerous opportunities for personal growth, financial success, and enriching travel experiences.

Jupiter Saturn square:

While Jupiter square Saturn may present formidable obstacles, it also offers a path towards self-realization. In the second part of August, we will feel the heaviness from the forming T-square. This can create a dynamic and challenging energy pattern in our lives. There may be a need to find a balance between discipline and expansion (Saturn and Jupiter) and action and harmony (Mars and Venus). During this transit, you may find yourself addressing issues related to ambition, relationships, responsibilities, and personal growth.

Pay attention to how these themes interact and where adjustments may be needed in your life while the Jupiter Saturn square!

  • Double check contracts, important documents
  • Clear – mindful communication
  • Prioritize decompressing daily – breath work, meditation and other self-shooting practices are recommended
  • Be patient with others
  • Avoid explosive situations with others
  • Break Tasks into Smaller Steps: If a task feels too big, break it down into smaller, more manageable steps. This can make it feel less daunting.

Mercury Rx (From August 4 – 28)

Before Mercury begins its retrograde journey that lasts approximately three weeks, it enters a pre-shadow period lasting around two weeks. Consider the pre-shadow period as a sneak peek into the themes and challenges that will manifest during the full retrograde phase. Situations, relationships, and projects that surface during this time might require adjustments or reassessment once Mercury goes fully retrograde.

During Mercury’s journey from Leo to Virgo and back, we are asked to blend the energetic enthusiasm of Leo with the down-to-earth practicality of Virgo. As Mercury moves through Leo, we may face challenges around self-identity, confidence, and personal empowerment. It’s a time to explore who we are and celebrate the unique qualities that make us special.

The obstacles and chances that come up can help us grow and become stronger. When Mercury enters Virgo, the focus shifts to details, helping others while taking care of ourselves too, staying healthy, and being organized. This phase encourages us to be meticulous, efficient, and service-oriented, promoting wellness for ourselves and those around us.

Mars in aspect to the Lunar Nodes:

When Mars forms a sextile or trine aspect with the Lunar Nodes, it can bring about a period of increased energy, motivation, and determination. This is a harmonious flow of energy that can help you take action towards your goals and align your actions with your karmic path. Use these energies wisely and move towards what feels right.

It is a good time to:

  • Set clear intentions and goals.
  • Take bold and decisive actions towards your aspirations.
  • Trust your instincts and intuition in guiding your actions.
  • Engage in activities that promote personal growth and self-improvement.

This month might feel a bit too much for most of us. When everything feels like it’s piling up, it’s essential to give yourself permission to take breaks. Stepping away from the source of overwhelm, even if just for a short time, can provide much-needed clarity and perspective. A quick walk outside, a few moments of deep breathing, or a leisurely cup of tea, find moments throughout the day to rest and recharge.

Self-care is not a luxury but a necessity.

Whether it’s indulging in a hobby, getting some exercise, taking a long bath, or simply resting, prioritize self-care to nurture your well-being. Remember, it’s okay to feel

overwhelmed, but it’s essential to take steps to care for yourself and find solutions that work for you!
